In what can only be described as the latest installment of “what the hell is going on with the rich and powerful,” newly leaked documents from the long-sealed Jeffrey Epstein files have revealed that none other than Elon Musk—the world’s most memeable billionaire—appearsat least three times in unredacted communications and flight scheduling logs associated with Epstein’s criminal empire.

The files, which were quietly made public this week after a federal court ruled on a years-long transparency lawsuit filed by several journalists and watchdog organizations, seem to contradict earlier statements made by Musk in which he downplayed or outright denied any connection to Epstein beyond a single dinner.

So how deep does the rabbit hole go? Is Musk the latest powerful man to be pulled into the Epstein vortex—or is he just another name on a long list of people Epstein tried (and sometimes failed) to lure into his creepy pseudo-academic orbit?
We read the documents. We called the sources. We checked the flights. And, well… things get weird.

THE DOCUMENTS: Elon’s Name Shows Up… Repeatedly
The first and most damning piece of evidence is a set of internal scheduling memos from Epstein’s personal assistant—allegedly written between 2012 and 2014—that list E. Musk” as apotential guest for Science Salon – Island”, a term Epstein often used to describe his now-notorious meetings at Little Saint James, his private island in the Virgin Islands.
One handwritten note, dated March 3, 2013, reads:
Follow up with Elon’s team re: July island gathering. Mention Hawking & AI talks.”
That reference toStephen Hawking checks out—Hawking was photographed at Epstein events during this era. But the fact that Elon Musk, the guy who wants to colonize Mars and sell flamethrowers to the masses, was being recruited to attend one of these events raises eyebrows.

Even weirder? A second document datedMay 2014 includesdraft flight itineraries between Teterboro Airport (New Jersey) and St. Thomas, with a line that reads:
Jet 3 / Confirmed: E. Musk + 2 (Names TBD). Pickup July 10, return July 12.”
No confirmation exists that Musk actually boarded the plane—but there’s now digital paper trails suggesting he was invited, scheduled, and expected.

ELON’S RESPONSE: Deny, Deny, Deflect
To his credit (or at least consistency), Musk’s team was quick to respond when the documents went viral late Tuesday night. In a statement issued through his legal counsel:
Mr. Musk has never visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island, never confirmed travel to it, and does not know why his name would appear on any itinerary related to Mr. Epstein.”

They went further, calling the documentspart of a political and reputational smear campaign”, and noting that Musk has long advocated for the full Epstein client list to be made public.
That’s true. In fact, in 2020, Musk famously tweeted:

Why is the Epstein client list still secret? Shouldn’t at least one of them go to jail?”
But critics were quick to point out: if he was so eager for the list to come out, why is his name now on the list?
A HISTORY OF “WEIRD Connections”
Musk’s name hassurfaced in Epstein conversations before.
Back in 2019, Vanity Fair reported that Epstein had been “bragging” to associates that he was advising Musk on who to appoint as Tesla’s new chairman—something Musk denied outright.
That same year, a photo emerged of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate and convicted trafficker, standing beside Musk at a Vanity Fair Oscar after-party. The internet erupted. Musk claimed the photo was a “drive-by photobomb” and said he didn’t know who she was.
Fair enough. It was a party. Weird photos happen.
But now, with Musk’s name appearing multiple times in Epstein’s private guest logs, people are starting to question just how coincidental these connections really are.

SCIENCE SALONS, AI, AND THE “GENIUS GRIFT”
To understand why Musk might have been on Epstein’s radar, you have to understand how Epstein operated—not just as a predator, but as a con artist who cloaked his crimes in science, money, and prestige.
Epstein’s infamous “Science Salons” brought together Nobel Prize winners, MIT physicists, AI researchers, and billionaires under the guise ofphilanthropic curiosity. In reality, many of these events were opportunities for him to manipulate, groom, or gather influence.

According to one former attendee, speaking under condition of anonymity:
Epstein wanted to be seen as a genius wrangler. Elon Musk was like a white whale for him. He wanted the association more than anything.”
The newly unsealed notes seem to back this up, with one aide writing:
If we land Musk, the others will follow.”
FLIGHT LOGS: Absence of Evidence ≠ Evidence of Absence?
One of the strongest defenses for anyone associated with Epstein is this: My name wasn’t on the flight logs.”
In Musk’s case, his name does not appear on the official flight logs made public in 2019—which were limited to Epstein’smain private jet.
But the 2025 document leak reveals that Epstein owned or chartered at least two additional jets not previously included in those disclosures. These jets, used for “VIP science guests,” were allegedly operated under shell corporations and booked by assistants, not Epstein himself.

So… are there more logs we haven’t seen? Are some names still redacted?
If the public has only seen 70% of the full picture, it’s no longer safe to assume someone’s name not being on the list is proof of innocence.
INTERNET MELTDOWN: Twitter, Threads, TikTok EXPLODE
As expected, the internet had a collective nervous breakdown.
#ElonEpstein, #MuskIslandFiles, and#EpsteinListWhen all trended across X and TikTok, as users began dissecting the documents, hypothesizing secret motives, and comparing Musk to other disgraced figures.
Some memes were brutal:
Others were more sobering:
If Musk’s name is in there, who else is? The people we worship might all be compromised.”

SCIENCE, MONEY, AND MORAL FOG
The real takeaway here isn’t whether Musk went to the island. It’s what this story says about how powerful men operate in networks of impunity, often insulated by money, reputation, and the aura of genius.
It’s about how Epstein used scientific curiosity and philanthropy as bait. And how easily people—smart, ambitious, world-famous people—fell into his orbit, or at least didn’t run the other way.

Whether Elon Musk ever boarded the jet or not, one thing is clear:
He was on someone’s list. And in Epstein’s world, that usually meant one of two things: you were already a player… or being groomed to become one.
CONCLUSION: So, What Now?
No one is accusing Elon Musk of criminal activity. No one is saying he flew to Little Saint James. But with his name now tied tomultiple private documents, the conversation around Musk’s involvement—or near-involvement—with Epstein is far from over.
