In a case that has shocked the public and raised numerous questions, the decomposed body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd (real name: David Anthony Burke). The vehicle had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and was towed to a local impound lot, where workers reported a foul odor leading to the grim discovery on September 8, 2025.

Who Was Celeste Rivas?
Celeste Rivas was a 15-year-old girl from Lake Elsinore, California, who had been reported missing on April 5, 2024, at the age of 13. She was last seen leaving her home at around 9 p.m. on that date. Her remains were identified through dental records by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office on September 17, 2025. The cause and manner of her death have not yet been determined, and authorities have not named any suspects in the case.

The Discovery of the Body
The Tesla had been parked on Bluebird Avenue in the upscale Bird Streets neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills since at least August 2025. On September 3, 2025, the vehicle was cited for violating the 72-hour parking ordinance and was subsequently impounded two days later. On September 8, tow yard workers reported a foul odor emanating from the car, leading to the discovery of a decomposed body wrapped in a bag in the front trunk. The remains were badly decomposed, suggesting the person had been deceased for several weeks before the discovery.

Connection to D4vd
The Tesla was registered to D4vd, a 20-year-old artist known for songs like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” He had been staying at a nearby property during the period the car was parked. Following the discovery, D4vd canceled his U.S. tour and the release of a deluxe album. His manager, Josh Marshall, has publicly denied any involvement in the incident and stated that he had no knowledge of the situation. The singer is reportedly cooperating with the investigation.
Public Reaction and Speculation
The case has sparked widespread speculation and concern, particularly due to a matching tattoo. Both Rivas and D4vd have a tattoo on their right index finger reading “Shhh…,” which has led to further public interest and scrutiny.

Moving Forward
As the investigation continues, authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Rivas’s death. The case remains open, and the Los Angeles Police Department has not released further details at this time.
